This has been totally mind blowing to me. I have been trying to replace the stock am/fm/cd player with n AM/FM Apple Car Play with Bluetooth. Have tried 4 from Amazon, but the bass is way to BOOM BOOM, and pretty much nonadjustable. In my younger days yep, but don't need the windows vibrating anymore. I can get that radio out in 11 seconds I have done it so many times.

Looking for a plug and play (using a plug adaptor rather than cutting wires). I don't mind the 7" screen as the stock MOPAR size is now. I guess it can be said I am looking for the easy way out without breaking the bank. If a backup camera is available, RIGHTEOUS! MUST have AM/FM!

This is my weekend Cape Car, so it is strictly an around town weekend machine. I saw Sonic Electronics, Crutchfield, etc. Looking to spend $200.00-$250.00, do not need anything fancy.

Suggestions?

Thanks as always!

I bought this:

Has wireless carplay, an equalizer app so you can adjust the bass. Sound quality obviously isnt the best but its good enough for me.
It connects very reliably, which can't be said about other wireless carplay radios I've used, so for that reason alone I'd recommend it.

If you want directions it not the best since the screen is pretty tiny and far away, I usually have my phone by the air vent and read off of that if I have to.

Also the buttons on the back of the steering wheel all work with it.
Installing was plug & play too.

I've got a JVC in mine, sound quality is good, hands free phone is good, Bluetooth works well..... however it's got more lights than a Christmas tree and it drives me nuts at night flashing bright lights in my face so I don't use it in the dark, I'm seriously thinking about putting the original one out of my spares jeep in instead.

Go to:
www.crutchfield.com
I bought a Jensen model for mine, with adapters, so no cutting and tracing wires.
It took me almost 50 minutes to install. Best 50 minutes I've spent in a long time!
I will go there again when my speakers blow out!
They guarantee a fit.

Yeah. I had one with the neon sign effect. Totally stunk. Was thinking a Boss or Linwood. They have the $200.00 ones that would do me fine

I bought a Jensen radio. I dont recall the actual model number. It was a no frills device, though it has inputs for a backup camera. I also opted for no androud auto, though now ai sort of wish I went with it, if only to play. It has Bluetooth, and an external USB cable to pop in a thumb drive.
It also has a remote control.
I have my own media server at home with 69,000 or so songs, so I just use my phone to play through the car from my house. Also have a 128gig thumbdrive jammed with mp3 and flac files.
The radio cost me $129, and took me less than an hour to install.
One reason I went so cheap is because I dont use the jeep so much. I bought it in 2020 with 141k miles, and now it's ip to 144k.

I can try to find the documentation for it and get the model number.

Mine is a weekend car also. That look like just what I need. Is the Bass too loud? Not into shaking the windows

Crutchfield custoner service will be able to direct you to exactly what you are looking for … a decent HU that will fit your vehicle at a price point that fits your budget.

You can even find better deals on "Open box returns" that still come with their 90 day satisfaction full return policy!!!

No, the bass isn't bad. The system even with the stock speakers in the doors sounds pretty good! Besides, there is an equalizer so you can adjust the sound that works for you.
Selfish is correct, their support is second to none!

I wish this was my weekend car! I just dont go anywhere!
On trips we take the wife's Tahoe, but as I just retired, I've plenty of thing to keep me occupied around the house, including a 15 year old chocolate lab, who I spend much of my time with...
