Hello all, I have a 2004 Liberty KJ Columbia edition.

I have went through the stock front end and bushings and finally have everything mechanically sound.

I'm looking to improve performance and fuel economy because mine seems to suck fuel just like the rest of the 3.7's do.

Any suggestions, changes to make that may help.

Also looking to improve 4WD a bit, are there any locker kits out there?

Welcome to the forums. My 04 has the factory rear Trac-lok clutch based locker, which requires the 4 oz bottle of limited slip additive.
You can get your build sheet here to see if yours has it. https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/build-sheet.64657/
Gas mileage wise ya the KJ's are heavy on fuel. Installing 4:10's will get you about 4mpg better economy.
The 4 cylinder kJ's had 4:10's so many search them out, to swap both diffs completely.
Lockers...there are lunchbox lockers and ARB air locker$ as well.

Suck fuel ? LOL Many complain about it and then you find out plugs have 100,000 miles on them, never changed air filter or the fluid in the diffs etc
My 04 ( I bought brand new ) with aftermarket bumpers, 4.5 inches of lift, 32 inch tall tires, 4.10s and lots of other heavy armor gets 21-22 easy on the highway at 75 plus
03 lifted 2.5 inches, armored , 4.10s and 31s gets 20-21
my 05 which is only lifted about an inch over new stock height does about 22-23 on the highway
which I don't think is bad for the weight of the KJ etc
When is the last tuneup with NGK copper plugs ? All fluid changes ?
Share what you have and haven't done and we may help
OH and how is your driving style ? If it's like Grandma Moses then there is part of the issue also ;)

and never do any lunch box lockers
