I got mine about 6 months ago. I've already had to replace one of the rear regulators, and now another one decided to crap out. But that's not the problem, I'll do that myself. The problem is that the door decided it was going to stop opening today. After a little bit of light kicking, I got it partially open, and the picture above (rotated inexplicably 90 degrees to the left by Reddit) is what I see. What is this cable? Why has it managed to weave its way around my door latch? And finally, (rhetorical) why is jeep/chrysler allowed to sell us a door panel full of plastic garbage? I love my jeep, but 888888888, I can't keep shelling out $100 every month to fix whatever cheap crap they cram in these doors.

I started to answer, BUT until your language is cleaned up you are on your own
I deleted what you posted, but asking in a way that is better and not using that language will get you answers faster
Sorry but this is a family friendly site

With no picture (at least not than I can see), I would guess the cable your seeing is from the window regulator. The cable is housed inside a plastic sleeve. That sleeve can break allowing the cable to come out and not take the proper routing. As far as the plastic...it's cheaper and easier to manufacture. Mine is an '04 with 159,000 miles and all I've had to replace in the doors was the front driver side regulator.

P.S.- Why is this in the wheel/tire section?
