Whatever this part is, it's leaking and needs to be repaired.
From what I can see, its a hose that goes to the smaller radiator. This picture is from underneath looking up. I have a 2007 Liberty.

Looks like transmission cooling lines to me

Should be. I'd look at rock auto for the complete line and replace it as a set.

Alternatively you can cut out the leaking hose, back to metal line then buy a transmission line hose and some clamps.

IMHO replacing the complete line is a better repair.

Just trace it to be sure they go back to the transmission

Looks like both lines are sold as on assembly.

Rock auto carries two brands
Sonsong 5801078
Dorman 624977

Just about any parts house should carry these lines, just double check these fit your Liberty

How can I check the level in a 2007?

to check it properly there is a dip stick you can get, and will need to be able to read detailed trans temp....checking the stick at certian temps and then using a chart to assess level.......

also theres a secret handshake and you have to give your left kidney. very convenient

Or go to the dealership,they should check the level for free(the ones here do).
