or you can do what tom did.
He added a flex circular duct to the front drill to the side of the box.
if you search hard enough you'll find one of his pictures.

i did this too if you want pics, pretty self explanatory though

Threw some new ubj's i had sitting around, trying to clean up the garage and they had a decent amount of miles on them. Pretty stiff (the old ones). Also put a new wheel bearing on the pass front, was growling a bit, especially through all the round abouts in my little town. Moved and remounted my cb antenna from the roof rack to the spare carrier in anticipation for my new roof rack build hopefully kicking off this weekend. Got my ubj and lbjs and tie rod and ujoints all greased up, checked and filled all the tires, rotated them, cleaned and organized the garage and still had time to grab dinner with the wife and drive up to columbus for work. All in all pretty productive first day off in 24 days!

Any issues with sucking in water?

nope, ive checked the filter many times and always bone dry. Even during heavy rain, wind, snow, ice, car wash, water crossings, mud bogs. And when someone revs the engine i can feel it sucking air so i know its doing something at least hah

^ Dang some of those falls offer nice cold/ clean water!
Would not have to worry about boiling it, just mix it with 90 proof and ahh..
Then I'd be high ..drunk.gif

Replaced the right side CV and Intermediate shaft and oh the bearing, was a plastic one though ( bought a few several years ago )
I had everything in stock ( so no cash outlay today ) the old one was banging pretty good ( original at 99,000 miles now. So thought no time like the present.

Got sick of bashing my head on the rear glass.
Ordered these from China for $30 CAD shipped (local autoparts wanted $30 each + tax)
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00UL3DQKW/ref=pe_386430_30332290_TE_3p_dp_1

Took all of 5 minutes to install both, including opening the package. Usually takes longer than predicted but this time was super easy. Perfect fit, and the glass pops right open... can't complain for $30. I know most don't like Chinese parts, I'll let you know if it loses its usefulness or keeps on popping up for years. I can finally throw away my stick...

Pics after you clean it up. I am big into detailing, I use Chemical Guys products, check them out if you haven't yet.

Drove it with the windows down, heard something that sounded like an unhappy U joint, rolled windows back up. :D

Went and checked out my new rims and tires. Gave the ok to mount and balance - they won't go on until the lift is done. 16 days since I ordered the lift from JBA... order's still "processing". I'm starting to get reallly impatient.

Also got to clean the filter on the windshield washer reservoir for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Some bizarre slime had infiltrated it. She's clean now though!

what does that even sound like?

I'm serious: U-joints are new to me. all my vehicles have been FWD until now. Never too old to learn I guess.
