Like seriously I was joking. I didn't really think that was directed at me and even if I did it would be the last thing on my mind.

I know you don't drink tom but I wish we lived closer together so I could pay you in whatever kind of bevvys you do drink to go over my KJ and try to figure out what's wrong so I wasn't thinking so hard about selling it. Installing the lift seemed easy and it was really but the unexpected problems are giving me regrets

At least the whole Jeep lineup has some winners in it still, now LR on the other hand the new Discoveries have lost all their character and look like generic crossovers. Range Rovers still look awesome and like they always have. Going to be a challenge to replace the LR3 when the time comes. Hanging on to it now though, the trade in is $4k lol, not worth getting rid of it.

Well you should already know that if a KJ isn't your favorite vehicle in the entire world then you'll get talked down to lol
I wouldn't even have a KJ if it would've been my choice, especially since they require so much money and work to get them to be decent
I don't even bother wheeling mine because I don't want to buy anything else for it, I've put way too much into it to not be in love with it and I'm not
I got the best lift that is reasonably priced (I guess) and it rides like ass
Everyone says theirs rides like a dream and I have no clue as to how, unless they came from a 1980 car or something
I bounce everywhere over bumps and feel like I constantly need to fix one thing after another just to get nowhere in improving ride quality
I can assure I will be getting a sporty car whenever I feel like buying one, and maybe riding on an actual Mercedes suspension instead of paying $2k for a KJ suspension to "ride like a Mercedes" :happy175:

What you consider a good ride maybe considerably different then most others.

Myself I want my Jeep to ride and drive like...................well a Jeep.The lifts I have had(and still have on) do that and makes it ride "like a dream".

Plus if I wanted a cushy ride I'd just drive my Town Car all the time.

As far as mercedes ride,have you ever driven one? They are worse then a '60's beetle with flat tires.

Well said. I like the "Jeep" ride. Reminds you that you're in, well a Jeep. Same for the LR.

The Cherokee rides surprisingly Jeep like. Very refined, but has the good firmness.

See what you think is a bad ride is a good ride for me and I have a seriously messed up back.I actually can barely walk after a few hours of driving my Town Car but totally energized after the same amount of time driving the KJ.

Then again the Town Car = very cushy lazyboy while the KJ = rigid proper supporting chair.

had an LJ for a while and have been on a few different forums both 4x4/offroad/overland related and not, and this is one has some of the best and most helpful members.

not so big that its not unique but not so small that theres no support or collaboration

When I originally got my liberty I thought it was just like every other vehicle on the road, that changed when I finally got to make it my own. It originally road like garbage, but the lift changed that and now I hate to drive anything else because the ride in my jeep just seems better and the jeep is also fun and cool to drive.

I thought long and hard about trading the KJ in for a 2016 Taco. Those things are beautiful rigs...but the payment would have murdered me.

I really looked at those too but for the price they want I think you're better off getting a Rubicon. Same price but more capable, just missing the pickup box. But I already have a utility trailer so problem solved.

Actually I got a quote for a 2017 Rubicon for 5k less than what a new taco would cost

Ultimately...it lead me to get the tC that I have. I need something with 4x4 to tow the waverunner in and out of the bay so getting just a smaller and cheaper car was out of the picture. And I'm not a fan of anything less than a Taco or a Jeep for the 4x4 to pull out of the sand.

Bought the tC back in may with 60k miles on it. 73k on it today. It's a stick, too!

I've had one of those now for going on 10 years (at least). I still say it was the best $200 I ever spent. only costs me $18/year in registration as well.

I've always had trailers around even when I had pickups.
Down to a 6X10 enclosed and a 5X8 open with 2 foot sides now.
Sure are handy to have around.

I've only had mine for 6 months and it has paid for itself already. Dump runs, helped me move, just bought some furniture the other day. I got one with a full 4x8 box on the inside with 2' sides and a fold down tailgate. It's the perfect size it follows right behind me I don't even think about it when I'm driving.

^^^Yeah, I also have a 5x10 trailer with 2 foot sides that tilts so it is much better/cheaper/lower to the ground/easier to use than a P/U truck. I do like that Jeep P/U Gladiator Concept though.
