Thinking of getting this tire for my 3" (soon to be) lifted KJ:
Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 Off-Road Tire - 245/75R16 109T

I'll be doing 90% on road (dry state), 10% off road, dirt/small rocks.

I saw good reviews all around the web, wanted to see how it echoes here with KJ owners.. Good choice for a budget AT tire?

Thanks

Great tire for grip...but make sure you rotate often. I have some scalloping on the edges of mine and they are LOUD. I think I need another alignment though...so I'm guessing that's what caused it. They USED to be quiet!

Hankook's are awesome. I've had Good Year Wranglers, BFG and Hankook Dynapro's, and I will take the Hankook every time. The only negative is the road noise, but I kind of like it.
Most of my driving is split between off road and county roads, with no interstate travel.

For 90% on road they are good tires. I've had the P rated ones for a few years now. I've had 3 flats, one being a sidewall puncture, but they have been pretty abused. I went from 10 ply E rated tires to these, so my opinion on road noise may be skewed, but I think they are pretty quiet for an AT.

Might be because I went from a P-Rated tire to a D.

90% on road I would get the P-rated. If the Jeep is being specifically used for wheeling and towing/etc. like my own, I would say get a higher load range with thicker ply sidewalls.

Mostly dry roads (we got a drought here), some light/medium wheelin around NorCal (SVRAs/mountains). No towing at all, got nothing to tow - maybe one day.. Possibly 1-2 Tahoe trips a year (snow/ice)..

As you probably seen in the other thread, I got the P rated ones for less than 100$ a pop, still didn't mount them and having second thoughts but upgrading to DuraTracs 6 plys is 2x the expense :Insane: and not convinced I should go from 4 to 10 plys for my needs.

Appreciate the feedback!!

You might have a different experience based on the type of rocks you have there in NoCal...but I had no sidewall issues at all with my P-rated Hankooks. They were off road tons of times. Sticks, rocks, mud. They took it all. What finally killed one was a screw. :Violin:
