I have the ability to grab an 02 KJ with a blown motor but in amazing condition for 375$ plus cost of rental trailer (lets say $150).

Thoughts? Would anyone else be crazy to take this?

Shit i need a wheel and that alone almost recoups the cost lol...

Let's just say I wouldn't be wasting time posting about it on the jeepkj forum!

Go get it!

You could sell the transmission alone, or any of a few misc parts and recoup the cost. OR, put a good engine in it, slap a $3000 price tag on the windshield (depending on mileage and options) and make $2500 profit.

Then go buy your wheel.

That's way too much to pay, you should pass it up. Now what did you say their address was again? lol

Lol you guys...

Running to look at it right after work, if good ill pay and get the title for it and then pick it up this weekend.

Trying to find a way to get it home is going to be a PITA but worth it.

Even with a blown engine, and some title funny business to sort out, that is a killer deal. Beautifully clean.

I'd totally put up with the $hit I'd get from my wife to bring that home and let it sit in the driveway for a while.

Looks great (and what a deal). How many miles are on it and how far do you have to tow it to get it home?

30 miles, since it was at an auto shop i got a deal on towing ($150 flat rate), i couldnt rent shit and do it myself any cheaper than $200

123k on the car

Will hit up the DMV today and see what route i need to take on it while i put the other KJ together in my garage lol...2 jeeps and both with bad engines :happy175:

For that price and in that condition I'd put up with the DMV to have a (basically) brand new KJ.

I'd put either an extremely low mileage used engine in it or even go remanned - they don't make these anymore so in my opinion it's worth going top shelf and build a Jeep that's got 15 more years in it. Price is cheap enough that my list of mods would be quite long.

DMV be damned... :bleh:

Going to have to go and talk with the bank for a lien release and go to probate court to "maybe" have it awarded to me. Idk seems like a giant hassle but maybe I'll make a call tomorrow and see what my chances are. DMV can't help, titled is messed up from previous sale.
