Im pulling my 3.7 on my 05. Those of you who pulled your motors where did you attach you hoist chain.
Only place I have found was the intake. I dont really want to remove the intake .
Has any one use any other spots that were safe ? I have a lift leveling chain hoist Ive attached the two front leads to the alternator and air conditioner mounting locations . I cant find a suitable location on the rear.

I used the intake. It's surprisingly strong and the engine is not that heavy. If you have a piece of bar stock to run across the intake (catty-corner from front right to back left or vice versa) it's even better.

Did you pull the intake and mount the chain to the head or right to the plastic intake?

Remove the intake itself and attach the lift chain and/or bar and attach to the intakes.

To the runners that are cast into the heads. Thats what I did.
Thats a wild design . I didnt want to pull the plastic intake because I was expecting a upper and lower intake. Like an old school v8 style . That was the easiest intake ive ever pulled.
