Sounds familiar! What do you think so far? It gets a little deeper as it breaks in btw.

A little louder than I expected, especially around town with the windows down. But once your up around 2000 rpm its quiet in the cab. But if the windows are up you barely hear it at all

Long overdue TLC @ 80,000:
- Michelin X radial LT2 install x's 5
- All wheel allignment
- Brake clean and function
- Blood and filter swap
- Wash & wax

Also, had AC evac'd. (currently short belt bypassed, looking up RockAuto kit thread today for complete swap)

Making a list and checking it twice. 2 oilfield layoff's pushed me past due on a few of these things, so prioritizing...

Nothing. We had to work on the riding mower instead.

Worst part? While we fixed three problems, the main problem is a failed fuel pump. And I can't get a replacement until tomorrow.

Interesting. I was supposed to give the KJ a good cleaning after I put a new wheel bearing in my 01 Outback. Let's just say alot of rust, one broken pinch bolt and the sudden need for a lower ball joint has made the swap a bit of an adventure. Guess it was to be expected since it grew up in upstate NY.

Went back to get another alignment because my steering wheel was a little to the left
Also to get an oil change
The numbers from last time weren't to my liking
Got the steering wheel back straight and all numbers into spec :waytogo:
All without having to get Al's arms, so I'm happy with that

I washed, clay barred and polished my Jeep yesterday. Looks great, its been way too long. Of course, its raining today, but at least that water beads off it! :D

Would be curious to hear that story! :Insane:

Garage door if i had to guess

J's close.
garage door opener would be more precise.
I had new doors and openers installed end of last year. great investment. garage is much less temperature/humidity extreme, and the new openers are belt drive with battery backup, so a LOT quieter; which is nice since my garage bays are under my house.
anyway, I had the jeep in there, with the doors up, jacked the rig up, started tearing into stuff. got done for the day and went to close the doors. mine went about 6", stopped, and returned. ??? error on the display said "excessive force detected" (they're really smart these new openers.) wtf? at this point i turned around, looked at the jeep in the air, and realized what i'd done. the drop bar that ties the door to the rail skid sticks down. I'd cut the old ones because the jeep is tall in the bay. I'd forgotten to cut the new ones. So, when I jacked the jeep up I drove the bar right into the roof. there's a 8"+ long creased dent in the roof now, the paint is tore off right to bare metal. Luckily it didn't puncture the skin, but now I get to fix it. :favorites68: :favorites68: :favorites68: :favorites68: :favorites68:

Drove out to Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio and had a great day. My Jeep enjoyed some good highway time on the way out and back. While there, I stopped at this little marsh to celebrate a milestone. You can tell by my GPS that Lake Erie is right behind me and the marsh right in front:

35 minutes in the parking lot letting 3 guys totally crawl all over and under the 03. They were way more than impressed with the coilover setup for sure .
All had TJs and Grand Cherokees
but various lifts on the TJs so got them on the right track on them
Grands they hadn't lifted yet so turned them onto JBA showed them the site
All will need installs done by.......someone locally :emotions34:

What sort of head unit do you have installed there? Ive been searching for something similar but it seems really difficult to find one compatible with the Liberty dash.

:happy175: I did the same thing for my shop supervisor. He has a nice 12' Rubicon with lift, tires/wheels and winch. He was a little jealous that I spent far less than he did on his lift.

Yeah, I wish that we had to drop the transfer case, get longer sway bar endlinks, new control arms front and rear etc just for a 3.5" lift. It ***** just being able to buy springs and shocks and UCAs and be ok. :happy175:
