Alright so my fiance owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty 3.7L. I've taken a liking to the vehicle and am replacing many parts on it. One of which was the battery and alternator.
Changed them both at the same time, started up fine without any problems. About five minutes into driving it after the new parts, all the lights on the dash started to flash and a few of them stuck.

Airbag light, ESP/BAS light, and traction control light are all on and I have not been able to figure out why.

I was hoping someone on here has had similar issues and can help me out. Thanks.

I'd check the connections at the battery and the battery ground. Mine did this when corrosion gave a flaky connection. Yours being new makes this unlikely. Disconnect, make sure the terminals and cables are super clean and reconnect. Also never assume a new battery or alternator is okay. Could be defective. Had this happen with a new Diehard once.

You may have disturbed some wiring or connectors while replacing the alternator or battery so carefully retrace your steps and check for loose connections and maybe a wire that has been pulled tight so is now chaffing through to the chassis somewhere.
There is a module called the Front Control Module that sits on the front left fender just in front of and below the battery...this controls the Communication Bus that allows all the modules to talk to each other....you may have disturbed the connector on it or even driven through a puddle....mud and water gets into this FCM module and causes all sorts of funny problems.

Battery ground connection had some corrosion so I cleaned it up and that didn't fix it. Terminals and cables are squeaky clean. I may take the alternator in to replace it. I just got it not three days ago. Thanks for the response.

Checked for wires and plugs, everything is in order and tight. I took the connector out for the FCM module and cleaned it up, it wasn't dirty but I figured what the hell why not. Thanks for the response.

Grounds

The battery was a good start but there is more. Get a wiring diagram and find all the ground connections on your Jeep. Disconnect, clean, and re-connect. Hinky lighting issues like you describe are often due to corroded ground issues. Look especially at grounds under the hood as they are exposed to oil, moisture, and dirt. Have had similar issues due to poor grounds.

Try putting the original alternator back.
You can download the 2006 KJ Service Manual here...includes wiring diagrams.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the original alternator. I'm 100% positive the alternator was bad to begin with. The minute I mounted the new one I had connection even on my old worn out battery.

I have not done this yet. I will try it and post what I find. Thanks.
