UPDATE

well guess what arrived in the post today 1 set of recovery hooks and fittings as promised from porkchop im such a happy bunny right now :) i cant thank porkchop anymore than i have so ill get them fitted on weekend and get them used :)

also my rear spring kit for my rear brake shoes has turned up from rock auto today so the poor jeep is gona get some right tlc this weekend heres the pics of the hooks porkchop sent me :)

UPDATE

also my rear spring kit for my rear brake shoes has turned up from rock auto today so the poor jeep is gona get some right tlc this weekend heres the pics of the hooks porkchop sent me :)

Lucky you got the M bolts! I had to deal with the factory plate/bolt assembly on mine so I had to remove the bumper. >.>

hey up guys had a go at fitting the hooks today wow im stumped ive followed the instructions as per the pic but i cant see how to get the m bolts in place on mine i cant see how to get the bolts up the hole and in place??????? ive had bumper off and there is no access to get to the top of the chassis arm so any help or advice or a diagram would be very helpful at this point.
heres the diagram ive tried to follow

This thread is for the KK, but it might help. I've done it on my 2007 KJ, but I did it differently.

I never pulled off the bumper just started a nut on the long side of the m bolt first (so you don't loose it) then feed the short side in first then took off the nut and keeping a little side pressure on the m bolt with a vary small screw driver put hook in place and start both nuts carefully. Removed it in the same way only in reverse. I didn't get lucky I've done this many times and doesn't seem that hard to do a small rubber hose on the long side of the m bolt works a little better then just the nut.

cheers guys realy appreciate the help i was starting to get arsey, the instruction i posted wasnt clear you had to feed the m bolt up the bolt hole and slip it around the pics from the first linky showed that.

HOWEVER IVE FITTED THEM YAY :) now there on its nearly play time im waiting for the towbar shackle thingy to turn up then ive got a rear recovery point aswell then its mud time :) :) :) ill get some pics up when she gets muddy :)

meanwhile heres something i was playing with and had to get it stuck so we could teach a recovery lesson nothing better being on pay whilst playing and mudding :) its a hard life lol

the truck is a navistar husky over here to you its an international mxt on steroids :)

its bigger than it looks in the pic aswell so you dont realy get how tall and wide it is until you park next to something like a toyota hilux lol its also on its lowest ride hight setting aswell in this pic :)

but yeah they do turn heads esp when you hear that big v8 rumbling :)

I did the same those "M" bolts will fail with a good hard tug. it's best to get the factory mounting plates and do the extra work. got the stud plates for about 30 bucks for both from the dealer.
