Hey guys!

So I looked everywhere to see if I could find my prep pictures but no dice. First I sanded up the emblem, then I basically cut REALLY small pieces of tape and wedged them in between all of the letters and what not. Then I taped and covered the rest of the Jeep with paper and sprayed down the emblem. Worked out pretty well! I've had it done for a couple of years now and I'm not seeing any major imperfections. Let me know if you need me to go into more detail. I've been meaning to redo mine lately anyways.

Cheers!

Where are you in New York? I'm only 30-40 minutes out of the city if you're around there. You can drive the Jeep over and we can rig her up with some tape and paint it!

To paint tail lights or wheels? >.> To paint tail lights, you take out the tail lights. To paint the wheels, yes, you need to take off the wheels.

The easiest way to refinish a set of KJ's emblems is to get some scrap sign
makers vinyl and apply directly over the emblem and then trim very carefully
around the lettering with a pointed X-acto knife.
Cool thing with this method is that you can choose what ever effect you want
as there are hundreds of types of vinyl. You can even get chrome vinyl so you
can restore them to original stock appearance.
