Wondering if anyone has eye to eye measurements? Of 2002-stamped steel type and 2004+ rod-tube looking ones? Tommudd?

Yes both the same, have both styles here and only difference is design. The sway bar bolts are in the same location etc.

Don't go with the cheaper ones
I had to since they couldn't get the OEM ones right away
Bad choice, they lasted about 3 months before the bushings were torn up. Had to replace them, money wasted

2004-2005 Liberties being recalled for LCA fractures in salt belt states. Just them replaced last weekend on my '05. Reading your original post made me wonder if you were using OME, and whether anyone would warn you if you were buying the ones now being recalled.

Lancer; that is the ?? in my mind. Seeing as how Liberty's are one of the few vehicles that started good and then got worse,I am leaning to the stamped arms.

Ridenby - I was thinking that may be the case as well, but I see on LOST that someone who has had it done reports that the new arms are apparently much beefier - about 1"x3" instead of the stock 1"x1" is what he reports. I admit I haven't measured mine, so I have no idea of the dimensions.

I am thinking about building some long arms for the TJ
However I would use DOM and weld in some inserts
Then buy the ready build Johnny joints
you could build some real nice adjustable lowers
with left and right threads on either end making them
adjustable on the Jeep
They would cost but any thing worth doing is worth doing right

Yeah Tom,thinking a little drop won't hurt. The factory set up is ok,just over the long run the bushings and ball joint are in a bind all the time.
