Ok this is going to sound dumb, but I bought my car 5 years ago. About a year after I bought it I had some smell issues from the AC. It took me twice to take it to the dealer to get the smell out under warrenty. When they finally fixed it there was a sound coming from the vent. They said they'd charge me to open it if it wasn't something they did. I didn't have the money at the time to pay them if wasn't there fault so I just left it. Now it's 3 years later and I'm quite honestly sick of hearing it. It's literally driving me nuts. It flaps for about 5 minutes and then goes away. It's obviously coming from the AC ducts. So is there anyway to access the AC ducts from behind the glove box or do I need to pull the dash to get in there? Anyone got some suggestions? I'm hardly a mechanic and have no balls to screw with something I don't know anything about. However, this sound has to stop!!

you should have let them get back into it.. its likely a bad vacuum hose and they did it doing the other repair.

How hard would it be to replace on my own? How much would something like that cost?

Jeep guys don't know about cars bro.

But yes, on your car this sounds like a likely culprit.

If you're referring to your Jeep, it's pissed off because you called it a car and it is letting you know it.

Beyond that, JeepINGeek is likely correct.

I've had a Jeep for the past 15 years. I'll call it a car and it'll like it or else it gets the hose again. To be more specific it's a Grand Jeep Cherokee 2006 Overland. Probably would have helped in the beginning... However it would help if I knew if they'd have to pull the dash...
