Does anyone read past posts?

I don't make a habit of it or specificly hunt up old posts just to read unless I am looking for something and get carried away.

There are some good oldies with good info.

I run two game console forums and NO one, and I mean NO ONE searches for anything. I even put all the data in a forum labeled "Main Menu" where the first EIGHT very short paragraphs, answer 90% of the most common asked hacking and stupid questions. Nope, NEWBIES STILL ASK them, when they're right friggin' there... Even the site rules have a link to that information, and they STILL ASK... This is mostly teenagers though, lazy teens who want spoon fed every answer.

Usually I skim all new posts for something interesting to read on a 20 times a day basis...

If there aren't new posts I care about, I usually log out again.

When I'm looking for specific info, I search until I find it or am tired of banging my head against the wall, at which time I ask.

I never read old posts unless I'm looking for something specific.

As far as just going back amd reading older posts, not really.

No seriously, if I know something might have been covered in the past I do search for it first.

It must be a uk thing.......... I read every single one before I joined when I got my Jeep. It took me about 18 months!! But it taught me a lot!! (Apart from how to insert someody elses quote before I start typing?) That has got me beat so far, but I will get it one day!!
