Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Hood pins would be a nice back up if the hood latch were to fail....:)
Those hood pin kits you see at those local auto parts stores will fail way before the stock hood latch will.Plus now you got to do twice the work to open the hood, have to pull both pins then get back in the cabin and hit the hood latch release then open the hood.If you want hood pins remove the OEM latch, seen to many vehicle burn up with both from underhood fires and they could not open the hood fast enough before all was lost.

Yeah...I just thought of that....:)

Now what would be nice is a latch set up like a TJ or JK....:)

I worked for a company that offered among other things; stick-on hood pins. So you can get that race look without the drilling. True story.

My Road Runner came with them. It WAS a rabid PITA to pop the hood and forget to pull the pins.

Hey Twack, I'm a former DSMer myself - 90 Talon (loved it). What year/model do you have? I used to be obsessed with turbo engines and street racing...a complete 180 from the KJ :).

I think hood-pins on the jeep would look tacky... Rice it up if ya want...
Funny thing is, hood pins are from real race cars (starting back in the day) that migrated to muscle cars. Ricers just don't know any better.
