Received today my 13 inch flexible rubber style replacement antenna today.:)
http://antennax.com/p-3974-jeep-liberty-antenna-2002-2003-2004-2005-2006-2007-kj.aspx
$15 and shipping was included.(Cheers)
Radio reception is good and did not really notice any difference around town both for am/fm. Came with proper adapter for the 5/8th male Liberty base.
I can now clean the windshield with out the old steel lightning rod getting in the way! Wow1.gif
For those bushwhacker's this would be a good replacement idea as well.
Here is a photo of it mounted.

hmm, might have to order one at that price. After 120K miles, the stock whip has gotten a little "windswept" lol

Looks like a simple mod. However, I STILL can't get my antenna off. Some might recall my worries about going through the car wash with it on. Well, I never got it off and it faired well though the wash. I tugged on that thing so hard trying to unscrew it I thought I was gonna rip the whole base off the side of the Jeep.

I've hit the radio antenna mount on the tree while on the trails... and it still didn't come off. Instead, my kj now has a sexy dent/ripple thing in front of the antenna. ](*,)

Oh, Tim?

I'll have the seat extension brackets by the end of the week as well!

Yours for free my friend!

They will be waiting for you!
And I'll install them no charge!

Thanks Ryan, Hope you install your driver's side and report back how secure it is and how the new length feels. If you want a hand trying your's out I will come over ok? Look forward to be able to have some leg room too, tired of my knees hitting wheel, getting out as well.
Re: Your antenna base, the stock adapter that came from antennax was in brass, just so you know..photo of adapter:

You have a very, very, bad mind Luke, get you mind out of the gutter!
I will then re-word it.....I can help Ryan install the seat brackets, since it will not be easy to remove the seat alone, and install the new brackets.

When I call you tomorrow evening, I'll get your address and mail you some seat extender brackets and an adaptor for an antenna!
You should be able to find your self a good quality rubber antenna at a Pep Boys or other auto shop.
I won't be shipping until the end of May when I'm state side.
That way I can avoid all the Customs biz and Duty stuff!

Ya, see below Luke!
