The rubber coating on my original antenna is coming apart and disintegrating. What are people using for replacements? OEM? How’s the “Stubby” in terms of reception? It would be nice to not whack the antenna on parking garages.

The Export models have the antenna built into the right rear quarter panel glass section in the cargo bay...looks much like the heater section on the rear glass.
At least that is how my KJ works but I think our KKs here are similar.

This is pretty neat as it is not affected by Car Washers, shrubs or trees.;)

And this story has a happy ending. $17 for a Mopar replacement antenna on EBay. :)

I was thinking the KK antenna was much like the KJ's long stick antenna. So completely different!

So on the KK's roof mount it was plastic and not flexible/rubber?

hmm.. I wonder if that shorty KK antenna would fit the KJ's?
Can u take a better close up pic of bottom threads of old antenna, if you still have it?
That antenna is 7 inches tall correct ?

It appears that the threads extend out past the base, just like a KJ ! :)

Here are some closeups of the bottom of the antenna. I’ve included both inches and cm for those of you north of the border.
