If you don't hear the "clunk...clunk" as normal when you hit the unlock twice, it's the solenoid. I'd check the power to it with a multimeter first though before ordering the part just to make sure. The installation is easy... took about 15 minutes. Not so easy on the wallet though.. For a while...
The tires probably weren't balanced very well when they were mounted. Take it back to the shop that mounted them and tell them what speed you're getting the vibration and if you feel it in the seat or the wheel. They'll take it from there.
It might be that your tailgate's lock solenoid has gone bad. Happened to me. If the linkage is hooked up properly, check the power to the tail gate latch assembly. It should be getting power when you hit the unlock switch or button twice on the keyless entry. $200 part if it's bad. Let me know...
That's not really us.... but just be glad you didn't have to pay the $37.50 diagnostic fee I did to the dealership when I had this problem and thought it would be a warranty issue  Glad you got it fixed!
I'll check those sway bars out... I was afraid I'd have to replace the rear shocks. Basically it's either spend $400 and lift it or spend $100 and keep it stock if the sway bars aren't the problem. I'll let you know how they look.
Check the battery terminals and cables... be sure they're not corroded and fully tightened. I had a semi-loose positive battery cable once and it did crazy things to the Liberty -- even made it die while driving.
So here's a bit of background... I replaced my shocks/struts all the way around with Rancho's at 52,500 miles. The fronts are the RSX17505 and the rears are RS5284. Shortly thereafter I started getting a strange rattling in the front driver side when going 30-40mph and letting off the...
I put a set of them on my Liberty. They squealed like little babies until I bed them in. Be REALLY careful and do NOT let the pads set in on the rotors though while you're barely moving or you run a huge risk of warping them -- do this on the interstate late at night.
Check this link for the...
The special additive is required for the Trac-Lok limited slip rear differential (LSD). Four ounces of friction modifier is what is necessary here. Mopar part # 04318060. There should be a green tag on your rear differential near the brakes that says "OPEN" or "Trac-Lok" to let you know what you...
Right. That was what I deduced. Trouble is, all I'm seeing is the part number for the latch -- no solenoid. Anybody have that part number or any advice?
That's true for all models, even those without keyless entry I believe.
As far as replacing the tailgate handle with one with a lock cylinder involved, you can get the other handle but I can't speak as to how it would hook up to the power lock latch.
Quickest way to tell: If you have keyless entry, your tailgate's door handle will NOT have a lock cylinder in the handle. If you do not, there will be a lock cylinder for you to lock/unlock the tailgate.
Hey all,
New to the forum here. I've been reading posts for some time, but just now had a reason to sign up and post myself... there's a lot of great info here!
I was wondering if someone might have some information about the tailgate locking mechanism. A week or so ago, I noticed what I...
