yellow sludge in oil fill cap

Funny....I'm getting sludge also, but I'm running Mobil 1 Syn, and most of my trips are over 30 miles long. I took off my PVC valve/hose and sprayed it with throttle body cleaner to clean the yellow sludge and wiped off the sludge in the filler cap.

Ok, so I got 2 vehicles and the Kj only has the goo. So I'm thinking it might have something to do with the plastic oil filler. It does not get as hot as metal (aluminum motor head) so the condensation collects there and turns to poo??? My car with no plastic filler (just aluminum head) and only a plastic cap that screws right into the aluminum head. It does not do this. Not even on the plastic cap. Both are driven in a similar way/trips, etc.

Could there be anything to this thought?? Am I making any sense??

Someone help me out here. Thoughts???

I would say it has more to do with the way the engine is built internally than anything else.

But yes, hot air could be coming out of the head up into the oil filler neck and condensing. Thats why it only happens in the winter since the engine bay is alot cooler. This also means it has nothing to do with the oil but could still have something to do with how long you drive it. The hotter the engine bay gets the less it will condense. Just throwing ideas out.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone make a metal fill tube? I'd like to try it and see if it helps any.
