Yeah, it's crazy ain't it? The 545RFE behind the 2.8L can't handle the "shock torque" from the 2.8L nor can the torque converter. (The torque converter is the REAL problem though.)

Um what?

Well I got the Jeep back after a 5 hour trip to Auburn Car Repair and back home. Should have been 3.5. Traffic *****. Thanks to John for staying at the shop an extra 45 minutes after closing.

They were nice enough to install this sticker for me.

Nope. Eww.... Mercedes, yuck. (FTR, I don't like my transmission much, but it and the 3.7L gets VERY good fuel economy!) It is an Aisin transmission... same company that makes (Made?) the AW4 in the Cherokee.

BTW: I am averaging 18 MPG with my 3.7L/W5A580 in my Grand Cherokee. That actually beats the 17.1 I averaged with my 3.7L/42RLE Liberty! And its 400lbs heavier!
