whats the best way to get the ball joint back in the pinch bolt... 3 hours and tried massive pry bars, rachet straps with no results

When I replaced mine, I unbolted the bracket from the rearend housing and removed the tri-link and bracket as a unit. Installed new link to bracket and bolted the link back up to the body. It was necessary to raise the pinion end of the rearend with a floor jack to align the bracket with the holes, as it droops down by nature. You won't get things lined up without fine tuning the height.

thanks that was my next plan, im installing the y link extension also but now the bracket bolts wont budge even with a 6 foot pry bar or pretty powerful impact gun. Giving up for tonight since its dark and i started cussing up a storm:icon_lol:
