I just got off the phone with the dealer about some warranty work done on the Jeep, one of the issues was the power window switch clips being broke. (somebody before me got into it and screwed it up). (blarg) Since the clips are broke and the connection is not good drivers back window does not roll down and I have to push really ******* the switch to roll down the other windows. He told me that he could fix the problem with the new switch and installation for $139. I think thats too much and I can do it myself if I had the switch. I looked on ebay and found the switch for 04 liberty here:

My liberty is 05 Sport and I was wondering if the switch from 04 liberty will fit? If not, where can I get a cheap switch to replace mine? I'll take any suggestions!:D

If you bought your ride from a Chrysler/Jeep dealer and it is still under warranty, press the issue and have them fix it. You have no control over what someone else did and you bought the vehicle in good faith that the warranty was still in effect.

Good luck and keep us posted....

From what I've seen by just eyeballing it, the switch is the same if you end up having to go that route, which of course you shouldn't HAVE to do. I also saw that switch on eBay. :)

You'll have to take off the cover though, and replace the actual switch. It's screwed on I believe.

For what it's worth, I'm doing a console replacement the day I get my new (used) console in my hands.

Sorry about the off topic question...Marlon, what type of console replacement are you doing? Going back to an '02-'04 console?

Yes. I've talked about it elsewhere in the forum. I'll summarize it here.

I was cleaning my console of all the crap it collects. I took out the rubber cupholder, and sat it aside. Me and the dog were outside. Well I had to run real quick, so I hopped in the '05 Renegade, came back home and decided that I had become too lazy to finish. It somehow fell on the ground and the doggy chewed up the rubber cupholder. That was strike 2. Strike 1 was the fact that I've hated the relocated window controls from day one, so hey, those two add up to a console replacement. :) The cupholder also is harder to reach, but this wasn't as bothersome as the window controls.

I've been thinking about doing this for months, but I finally found one on eBay. Junkyards around here want way too much.

Guys thanks for all your help! I called the dealer to get the Jeep yesterday and they said they fixed everything and everything works.
