Why does it keep doing this?

My KJ keeps blowing the power lock fuse which is causing the power door locks to stop working. Is there a reason why?

Under what condition does the fuse blow? When you attempt to lock /unlook door?
Or when you immediately install new fuse?
Sounds like a short or something gone bad in one of the actuators.

It worked for a little bit and then the next day or so it stopped and blew the fuse.

Is there a hint as to which lock actuator may be the problem one?
Open the tailgate and then try lock/unlock and see if it still blows..
Or try to see if any of the door lock is not raising up far enough like the others or one hesitating or making strange noise....

HI YJMan! My thought is its probably a short in the passenger door. I had the same problem on mine and I pulled the door panels off and found a wire that was making contact with the door frame, fixed it and poof! its was gone

I'll check it out, however to add to the story, the tailgate lock would sometimes not work, you had to play with it in order to get it to unlock. Could that be whats causing it? If thats the case, would I have to fix something in there? and how do I know for sure? Thanks for your help guys!
