Which style regulator?

i decided with my Christmas money i should be getting i'm going to buy my regulator i need for my passenger rear window.
I know that there are two different styles and one was for 02-06s and then 06-07s and i think starting 3-06 correct?
I looked and my date of manufacturing is 2-06 so does that mean i just barely made it with the older style?
Also should i get the repair kit that ive seen or the just replace the regulator?

get the repair kit and it'll be fixed for good. replacement regs are just as expensive and will most likely break again.

A week after I got my KJ the left rear busted so i got the repair kit (this is the one you need for passenger rear link
and it works great. I did have to grind down my cable at the very end to get it to thread easily into the repair plate, but it was not hard.

Great that's what i was hoping for! Im skeptical to be the first one to try something like this kit, but as long as someone else has had success with it, that is all i need!

There has been a few posts here about success with the repair kit, and there was some over on LOST too. I would definitely get the kit and be done with it.
