which pipe is leaking?

I was flushing my radiator today and I noticed this pipe looked wet and possibly leaking, so I ran my finger over it and it was wet on my finger, it had a slight smell of gas,
I dried it off with a shop rag and then took some pics
it appears to be leaking from the metal fitting,

any advice on the problem/ how to repair?

2002 jeep renegade
v6 3.7l
problem is on front drivers side

That is the line that goes from your power steering pump to the power steering cooler. It is a pretty simple and inexpensive repair. Just drain as much fluid as you can from the reservoir, remove the line, install the new one, and fill the reservoir. Run the steering wheel side to side, and keep checking the fluid until it is full.

The instructions that were on Dealer connect are pretty vague. Here they are-

REMOVAL - RETURN HOSE (RESERVOIR TO THE COOLER)
Siphon the power steering fluid from the reservoir.
Remove the return hose from the pump reservoir.
Remove the return hose at the cooler.
Remove the return hose from the vehicle.

I'm not 100% sure that this is the line you are after. Go out and follow the line in your picture from the pump and make sure taht it goes to the PS cooler.

yup your correct about it being the PS cooler hose, i went and checked last night after your post, don't know why I hadn't traced the line in that direction last night other then a brain fart, I had traced the other end of the hose to under the drivers head light

But after 202,000.00 KM on the clock,
Ours still has the original power steering
lines without any leaks!

LOL... I was thinking the same thing... Knock on wood!

I believe that Chrysler designed that hose to leak. I can't think of any other explanation.
