KC HILITES Black Long Range Daylighter 150W System KC HiLiTES shock mounted lights began with the famous Daylighter that they invented and patented in 1972. Not only does the Daylighter use a heavy-duty rubber gasket (bulb holder) that isolates the lens, reflector, and bulb from the metal housing and elements of weather, but it also includes their patented shock mounting system. The KC HiLiTES shock mounting system was developed as a way to isolate the lamp unit from the mounting bracket or surface to which the the light is mounted. This system successfully reduces lamp failure due to vibration and has been proven through the extremes of off road racing. Now, the shock mount system has been updated from the original to require no extra drilling. We currently offer a wide range of 6 inch round lights in various finishes and wattages that include this proven shock mount system. Daylighter Pair Pack Systems include: Two All Steel 6 round Daylighter housings w/ Shock Mount System Optical quality Glass Lens for maximum Clarity and Light Projection 150 Watt, 385,000 Candlepower Sealed Beam Halogen Bulbs Precision Polished and Focused Reflectors Two KC light Covers Complete Pre-terminated Wiring Harness with illuminated Switch and 40 amp Relay Illustrated instructions for easy installation

Main difference as I see it is a 135W halogen bulb vs 150W incandescent bulb... which would you choose??

I would go with number 2 for the weather and shock elements alone....do those apply to the 1st?

If so, it also seems 2 will install easier...

Yes, they are the same light except for the bulb. I didnt know if there were any power or durability issues or even brightness issues between the halogen and the incandescent. I have heard that halogen is a "whiter" light but Im not sure what would make that better? the 150 watters have a significant amount more candlepower so that is what I am leaning towards but then I wonder why everybody is going towards halogens?? whats the benefit?

Check out the KC HID's,way brighter, about 650,000 candle power each and draws about a 10th of the amps as the regular DayLighters.

those are definitely nice lights but no way I could justify the cost. $150 I can do but $500?? not for me.
