Just finished swapping out my old beat up 3.7. Toasted the heads, ended up picking up a newer one with a third of the mileage, tested and warrantied for 60 days, plus shipping to my door - for about what it'd cost for the heads, the harmonic balancer that I broke a big chunk out of with the puller, map sensor I broke, top end gasket set and all the other little things you need to do it all. It's been a really long ****** exhausting weekend of frustration and banging knuckles but it's pretty much done now. Can't even explain how relieved I was after I primed the fuel and it started right up. Just missing a couple pieces of the puzzle, who knows where these go?

Thanks for the help!

first one goes to a hard plastic hose that crosses over on the firewall from the driver's side. the connection point is right under the coolant bottle bracket, hidden behind the heater hoses and wiring harness to the passenger side. The Tee on it should have the supply from that hose, one going into the firewall, and one going into the cruise control servo.

The second one is your transfercase vent. it connects to nothing, and is just supposed to have a little dust cap on the top. don't plug it, just leave it be.

JeepCoMJ is spot on with the first hose - supplies the vacuum for the cruise.

Minor correction on the second hose - it's the breather for the ******. Like he said, don't plug it. The front diff breather feeds through on the driver's side and is attached under the battery holder.

fully assembled but out of vehicle, you can see where most of the hoses trail up.
