Whats my color?

I want to paint my skids the same color as my jeep as i have seen some people. What color should I use to match?

I tend to agree with what (I think) Budke's saying...don't do a perfect color match as the point of skids is to hit stuff. I'd just get a durable dark blue paint and paint them up. They are under the vehicle and always in the shade, and few people would really notice that they don't color match perfectly. I don't think a metallic flake + clearcoat is really necessary for them

From that angle its kinda hard to tell but I think its Patriot Blue.

Go to your nearest dealership with your VIN and they can tell you the exact paint color, code and the price for a rattle can full of it if you're lucky.

Especially if you plan to get any 'use' out of said skid plates... not worth paying the extra amount of $$$ for the special color that will only be scraped off over time.

Just use spray cans!
I mean, whats the point in spending all that extra money on having colour matched
Skids...
Spend the extra cash on OME coil springs and new shocks instead of a used Daystar spcer lift!...

+1 with Ryan on this one .... My brother spray paints pretty much everything he owns just for the fun of it. Kid keeps getting better and better and now from spray paint cans he can get a heck of a nice paint with clearcoat on ... 5-7$ / cans youll need 2 cans + clear coat ... But i still think it would look neat with matching color so i wont judge you if you still do it loll

Black, Krylon, reapplied as required. I consider it more of a corrosion control technique than a "Gee, look, he painted his skid plates" thing.
