Seeing I'm on a roll!
What else should I buy?

As it sits,
I already have generation 4.5 Al's A Arms sitting in front of me.
I'm waiting for the following to arrive.

Frankenlift Standard I.
Detours KJ Backbone.*
Spider Trax 1.25 inch spacers.

Tires, I decided that I am getting locally within the next week or two.

*I was checking out the Detours off road website and really like the looks of the XJ TailBone tire carrier that Mark has recently come out with.

I'm thinking of designing a similar model for my KJ. One that fits in behind the factory plastic bumper cover and has pretty much the same recovery points, greasable swing out spare tire mount etc.
I don't want to rip off and duplicate what he has engineered and spent many hours building, so I'll be asking him first if he could come up with a similar KJ swing out tire mount.
I respect peoples intellectual property.

But, being a designer, I cannot help but let my design ideas come to fruition!

I have sent Mark a copy of this message as well.
I don't want to step on any toes here. But something like what he has for a XJ would be very nice on the back of my KJ.
That way I can retain the factory bumper skin, yet make it more useful all around.

Probably doable, but difficult. The spare tire holder should swing out further than the tailgate. Imo the latches would then have to be under the rear taillights in order for that to work.

I'd buy a rear bumper from RL. But then I am not much of a designer so...

But it would be nice to keep the rear bumper look and have (for a lack of better terms, (a Backbone... Or in this case a "TailBone" ) hidden behind the factory bumper skin.
Don't get me wrong here, Rock Lizard rear bumpers are one nice looking rear bumper! But they do add to the weight hanging over the rear Axel.
I want to keep all extra weight to a minimum. Especially out in front and behind the centre line of the axle's!
Makes for better weight distribution over all.

Like aluminium wheels. Less sprung weight to move up and down with the suspension.

I had to weld the stock stuff inside the tailgate twice already....

That's why I took my spare off the tailgate, and will likely get a roof basket and toss it up there. I know how heavy the spare is, so I thinking on fabbing a step to slide into the 2" receiver.

Thats actually a really cool idea!
A portable 2 inch receiver mount ladder to get stuff off your roof!
I like.
Or, just make a tire carrier that fits into the 2 inch receiver. Useful if you are not pulling a trailer.

Yes, I have a 9500 lbs. winch. As well as an assortment of tow straps in various lengths, tree saver straps, snatch straps (Jen thinks that those sound *****!)
I'm not allowed to buy a Hi-lift Jack for myself! Apparently that is going to be a birthday gift! (I'll just buy it myself so that I can get what I want, when I want it!)

But I have to do a little bit more research on the compressors, tanks, etc.
I'll be purchasing air lockers sometime in the near future, so I want to make sure I can kill two birds with one stone.
No point in replacing a perfectly good air system, may as well do it right the first time, right?

Nope, Not yet!
It's probably sitting in cutoms waiting to get cleared. Along with my Backbone!

When I ordered the Standard I Lift, I asked Heather to include everything I need, including some rear shock boots.She said that if they have it, they will throw them in. If for some reason something didn't get included, I'll just order them.

Not enough!
But don't worry, given time I'll get to the point that I won't be able to keep my hands off of it and I'll pickin your brain so I can build up an SFA.
But I'll do the same as you, buy only top of the line components, one at a time. Then when I have a completed parts list, go to town and start building.
I kind of like the idea of a 4.7 litre V8 under the hood as well.

We just got the email, the parts are being shipped today and should be here on the 12th. Ryan will be a kid in the candy store when all his parts arrive!

As for the front bump stops, they are not included but I'm sure Ryan will be ordering them soon.

Oh, and one more thing, Ryan is sleeping so he does not know that his toy's are on the way so I jacked his spot on the computer and had to blab that his stuff is on the way before he could

So, there you have it! The lift kit is being shipped!
And, like Jen said. The extended front bump stops are not included with the lift kit.

Yep the OME warranty is axed for the front of the Frankinlift,AllJ's has the choice to warranty them out of there pockets if they so choose.If you plan on running bigger then 245/75's extended front bumpstops is highly recommended,below is a pic of the front of my KJ with my UCA's(JBA's) sitting on the extended front bumbstops with 265/75's.If I had the OEM front bumbstops my tire would be tearing my flares off at that much flex.

As far as the 3.0 CRD V-6 would be a much more complex install into a KJ then a 4.7 gas V-8.

Anyone here know of a shop that might have them in stock?
I've been looking for the last 90 minutes and so far nothing.
Teraflex doesn't sell directly to the public. Or more like to Canada!
So if anybody has a good shop they can recommend?
