What does this "code" mean?

I have always wondered what the light(not an actual light but is painted) means.It's on the bottom of the speedo. Mine says type 43. What does this mean? Maybe I'll get pictures tomorrow of it.

This has been asked a few times. It's just they 'type' of instrument cluster installed. Sort of like a model number for the instrument cluster.

Thats interseting "Type 39" (Canadian dash with KM)"

My KJ is Canadian and has "Type 43" on the instrumentation!
So what is "Type 39" ???

OK, curiosity got the best of me, had to go and check. Mine says type 33. Wonder what the differences are?
