weird noise from dash...

ive been hearing a weird noise coming from my dash of my 02 sport, and it sounds like a cd skipping and a sipping noise at the same time, but only occurs when i brake or hit bumps.. any ideas?? vacuum lines maybe?

Mine also has weird noises which has been amusement source of some members. When I apply gas feels like there are marbles or little balls rolling towards me in the dash, when I apply brake feels like those marbles are rolling back front. Funny thing is, sometimes it sounds like a liquid, or sometimes something like ice cubes. But almost always I have some noise in there....

Another similar noise, like you mentioned, only happens when I come to a sudden stop, and there is a clicking sound inside the dash, on the driver side, right towards the corner.. But I realized that it could be ABS working and making a clicking sound inside.

i dont have ABS so i know it isnt that. the noise is like a liquid sipping/light zapping noise and it happens constantly whenever i hit the slightest bump or brake. and it only happens when im moving...

i have more un-usefule information about your problem...
Mine makes a noise that sounds like a rock hitting the windshield every so often for no apparent cause-effect reason, im waiting for a big crack to zing up my window on the passenger side where its comeing from one day....

There is just not enough room for such a thing when it comes to Jeeps..
