water pump bolt size

my #4 bolt of the tightening sequence on my water pump is missing and is now leaking(surprise). how and when it came out, i have no idea but i do blame global warming.

anyone know the size/thread pitch/type etc... of the water pump bolts?

The waterpump uses 2 different length bolts,what you missing? The short one or long one?

i am sure its the short but give me both sizes if you know them.

Yeah the parts book lists them wrong.If I remember they are M10x1.5x45mm(or 50mm) for the short ones and 70mm for the long ones,don't qoute me on that as I'm not taking any out of mine to check.

So much for going to the dealership as a source for every nut, bolt and fastener on the vehicle. I'll remember this the next time someone asks where they can get "obscure part x" and I tell them "The Dealership".

Apparently not. What the hell is up with a dealership that can't tell you anything about the waterpump bolts on one of the vehicles they sold?

If it's the #4 bolt, I'm pretty sure it's one of the short ones.

You might take one of the others to the hardware store and see if you can find one with the same threading and specs. You'd be surprised.
