Transmission/xfer case breathers?

Where should the stock ones be? I just wanted to verify that the shop put them on, if they didn't I'll bring it up when I take it in for the inspection.

Hmmmm

I'm trying to picture where they are and I'm coming up empty. Can't say that I've ever noticed one on either unit - as many times as I've been under and around my KJ I don't remember seeing one.

Found the ****** one. It's by the dipstick tube...about even with the coil packs height wise. I'm still looking for the transfer case one. I found a thread on LOST that said it should be near the transmission one but I'm not seeing it. I'll keep looking, if in the meantime anyone knows where they are, I'm all ears.

The transfer case breather tube comes up by the battery if I remember correctly.

So I see the vent hose on the fiche diagram, but where does the upper/open end attach or terminate?

Thanks HJ - I've never seen the hose there before, even when the engine was out for the swap.

I got under it this morning and couldn't see the TC one.

If it were up my ass I'd know where it was.

Got in for the inspection today and the shop said the xfer case one isn't really visible from underneath. It runs pretty high and tucked away.
