Transfer case questions

I'm up early stuffing the turkey and getting it ready to go into the oven and I thought that I would ask a few questions regarding t cases so I can learn more!
I have been reading the FSM and see it has a low range reduction ratio of 2.72:1.
Is there a t case with a lower gear available to directly bolt into our truck?
Ryan has mentioned something about a Rubicon t case being ideal. Especially with the Rubi crawler we are getting soon. But he also said something about it being a backwards shift pattern?
I want lower gearing in addition to the 4:10 gears we have.

The Rock Trac (Rubi) has that. You have the 231, right? Since that was common in TJ's and stuff, there could be a bolt on kit for it.

If you are getting the rubi-crawler then for "lower"
you would need the NV241J or Rock trac
This would give you all kinds of gearing
1-1
4-1
2.73-1
6.73-1
How ever I can tell you that unless you spend a lot
of time playing in BIG rocks
the 6.73 will never get used
Some times the Rubicons have to much gear
In low and not enough in high
This is locally when it is wet and a little wheel speed
is needed to clear the tires

When Ry spoke to the fellow who makes/sells those rubi crawlers, he said it can be used with the standard KJ's t case and would really good.
Just trying to learn as much as possible about all these things.

On another note, gears multiply then put in series with eachother, so instead of 2.73 + 4 = 6.73, it's actually 2.73 x 4.0 = 10.92 An even deeper crawl ratio!
