Heard the factory LSD known as the Trac-Loc called the trash lock a lot around the forum but I never stopped to ask why. So, why does everyone call it the trash lock? What's so bad about it that makes it trash?

Hoosier, I've got 91,300 on the KJ now, so the LSD will be wearing out the same time the KJ will. Any other suggestions that fit a tigh budget?
You mean Rubicon?why does the wrangler moab come with trac-lok?
You mean Rubicon?
And that answer is no,they come with lockers, depending on year it's either a junk air locker or a electric locker.
Ha, he thinks KJs are worn out at 100k miles.
Powertrax NoSlip is what ThunderbirdJunkie has in his Jeep. It's nearly transparent in operation.
The clutch packs wear out at around 75-100k, so once that happens it's an open diff.
Sorry for the ****** reply earlier, rough night. Does it require any special additives, servicing? Do tires last pretty much the same as before? How does it perform in snow, sand, mud, etc.? Would you recommend for someone who spends most of the time on the road?
