I am looking to rent a penske truck in July to move from Pennsylvania to Illinois. I would be interested in towing the Liberty behind the truck on the ground (I have read other posts how it can be done by putting everything in neutral), but wondered what type of equipment would be needed in order to do that (does penske rent equipment like that, or would I have to purchase that equipment). When I moved out this way 4 years ago from Illinois, I could rent a trailer for around 150 bucks, and didn't know which way would be more cost effective.

its called flat towing. You leave the ****** in P and put the tcase in N.

You need the setup that hooks onto the front of the liberty. Do a search on google.

Unless you plan on towing it again, the trailer would probably be a better idea.
