Tow Hooks?

I’m trying to locate where the tow hooks would be attached on my Jeep. I was looking at various grille guards and bars (that all suck incidentally) to add more lights. Since they all seem to want to take the hooks point for attachment I wanted to locate this area for mine. I can’t though. I have checked as best I could behind the bumper area and behind the fascia there but I’m not coming up with the spot.

I saw a Reni on my way into work today; it had hooks towards the middle of the grille not out to the sides. Checking there on mine I saw nothing. I’m confused. Did all Liberty have the possible tow hook points?

They are almost directly below the outer most slots on your grill ...

Another way is to locate the cut out locations on your current bumper ... if your Jeep did not come with hooks you will still usually see 2 spots where the plastic is grooved/outlined for cutting ... behind/under them is the spot your looking for.

yep, got that. but the front of the Jeep does not look like that. I would post a better pic but I am at work currently. I'll check for cut-outs at lunch time.

ummm if you have an 06 Limited then your Liberty should look exactly like that. Granted since you don't have tow hooks you don't have the notches in the bumper for them but you should see the grooves there to cut them out

Yes sir, you are right. I guess i had been looking at many online and got confused...
sorry.
I have the cut outs as described above. Thing is though it looks like they would attach into the bumper with the bolts going up and down, not through, into a piece of the frame. Sound right? Or am I being a knuckle head?
