So I just purchased my KJ at 60,000 miles and apparently the original owner has kept the stock goodyears on. Well, as I am finding out, not the best off road tires in the world.

So...I am looking to buy some capable tires. I have a stock KJ that is an 04 Renegade and want something that is capable off road but do keep in mind I have to drive 60 miles a day just for work.

I don't care as much about gas mileage though, and money isn't so much an issue.

What are some of the best tires I can get for a stock KJ?

Oh, and is 245/70/r16 a size I can obtain with my stock KJ and have no rubbing?

I know that's a lot of questions, but thanks to anyone who can answer them.

UM ,yeah
dude this is such an opinionated question that you are asking to be confused

60 miles a day minimum = Highway tires
off road = off road tires
You may benefit from having a set of wheels ,5, with cheep MT's
and keep your stock wheels for DDing

Well I thought my question was a little more specific because it wasn't "gimme the best mudders for the price!" it was "what are good off road tires regardless of price factoring in the fact I have to drive 60 miles a day"

I did look over other threads, and didn't find any to be specific to that.

And yea I was looking at the Silent Armor tires as well. Look better than my current stock tires, for sure.

Anywho, thanks guys :)

BFGs
Duratracs

You'd be happy with either of those... LOTS of people on here run these and are completely happy with them. Most, if not all, are daily drivers too.

A good AT tire is going to be the best choice for you IMO.

BFG AT's
Firestone Destination AT's

Just don't get the "E" rated BFG's, they ride like shit! Trust me. ;)

Without creating another thread...I suppose i'll ask here...

Does anybody know if the Wrangler Silent Armor tires are made in the USA? I have not been able to find anything on that.
