I’ve been thinking about getting one of these Ignik Firecans since @Johnny O did a review last year. Given that there was a fire ban in effect, I decided to splurge on an Elite model (with the ceramic Moon Rocks to save weight). Very nice, ridiculously powerful burner, I never had to go above 25% to keep warm. Ran it six hours and there’s still some propane left in the five pound tank. I’ll refill it tomorrow and see what I used.

They’re on sale right at their website now, I bought a week too early, lol.

I used .9 US Gallons over six hours. The tank holds 1.2 gallons, so possibly close to eight hours total run time. That would cover for a three night trip for me.

So I ran across this in a Slack where I hang out. I’m tempted to get one while they’re on sale and see if it could be modified to fit. Rated at 60 watts with usb and 12VDC alligator clips for output. Might be useful for my power banks.

No, I have never opened any of that ductwork.
The dark shit was near the metallic filter. You should clean if never open here. Need to take of the 2 arms of window cleaning to get the way through the 4 nuts of the metal grid.

Welp, I’m going to need new tires come September, I guess I should decide if I want to spring for a set of Moab’s first.

Love my Scangauge II. It has helped me keep fuel costs down by making me a more efficient driver. It has also diagnosed and cleared engine codes and displayed voltage, coolant temp, and transmission temp (that last one takes some programming). The temperature gauges have been great for wheeling and towing.
What is usual coolant temperature mine runs about 200

It depends. Before I got the aux mechanical fan for the tow package, I think it was about 200-210 like you in the city. Now with the aux cooling I am closer to 186 in the city. I have seen as low as 125 cruising down the interstate in top gear.

EDIT: sorry the above was for transmission temperature. I think the engine coolant stays around 186-200 also, but it depends on city/highway and terrain and how heavy I am loaded.

Thanks buddy I'm thinking about adding thermo fans to the radiator etc because that's pretty high to me but probably normal by the sounds of it cheers
