Super quick question for you folks.

So installing the skids, thus far, has been much easier than I thought.

However-

I understand, when installing the skids, the transmission skids attaches using the back two bolts of the engine (or front) skid...But, which order would overlap the other?

Do you guys tuck the transmission skid underneath the engine skid (meaning the transmission skid is touching the frame and the engine skid is touching the transmission skid)? Or vice versa?

Or another way of putting it is...of those two skids when installed/touching, which is closer to the ground?

Thank you

O:)

How much ground clearance do the skid plates take away and with skid plates on, how difficult is it to access the oil filter?

If your skids are flat and flush up to cross members, then only the thickness of the skid is the amount lost. But it doesn't matter what you lose, it is what you SAVE, that counts.

You want to hear those plates scrape.

As for the overlapping question.....

Think of a rock sliding across the engine skid and coming upon the ****** skid. If you put the ****** skid at the bottom, the rock will catch the edge and rip it off or bend it. If the engine skid is on the bottom, the rock will slide from engine to ****** skid.

Just remember this setup anytime you have to go in reverse though.
