I need some help identifying the speaker wire colors for my 2007 so I can install my amp (using a line level converter). I have the standard radio – single CD player, no satellite radio or anything.

I have the 2006 service manual, and if my memory serves me correctly, it called for Dark Green/Dark Blue & Dark Green & Orange for one rear speaker, and Grey/Dark Blue & Grey/Orange for the other. The switched power wire was supposedly yellow/pink.

I checked the wiring going into the driver rear door, and there were no wires with those colors. Anyone have any idea of what they should be for ‘07? I could probe wires and whatnot, but I’d like to be as unintrusive as possible.

Oh wow, just had an epiphany here. If anyone has the answer, I'd appreciate it, but I can just look at the pinouts on the harness in the manual and look at the Jeep harness for the matchup.

I was going to run 18 gauge wire, connecting to the stock wiring somewhere in the rockers. I'd run that back to the amp, where I'd have the LLC in close proximity. Seems pointless - I think I should hook up the LLC under the dash when I connect the remote turn on wire and just run an RCA back to the amp. Less connections and less clutter.

thanks razzerx, I'll check it out. I think that's what I had from the '06 manual. I don't think mine follows that. I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow morning when my amp install kit/line level converter arrives. I'll check the actual harness on the radio and check the pins per the manual to the actual harness's color and report back for future reference.

FYI, wiring at the head unit seems to follow this scheme. I could swear at the pillar for the rear driver's door, I didn't find these wires to tap into.

Kenwood Speakers with Sony Deck.

Thanks for this information. I just wish I thought of using JeepKJ before I started this install. Anyways I got some Kenwood speakers and I currently only have one speaker installed, the left front. For some reason the stock speakers are putting out more bass than the Kenwoods. Anyone know why that is?
