Took the Liberty to a local shop about a month ago for a water pump replacement and a rough idle. They put in a water pump, told me the idle might be caused by a dirty fuel filter or I might need a valve adjustment?? They also replaced a couple of sensors and the spark plugs. Had no codes so they were guessing. My IAT sensor has some tape wrapped around it for a more snug fit into the intake tube, they said that when they pulled the IAT sensor out, it made no difference in the idle. I wasn't thinking at the time, later realized that a bad sensor wouldn't make a difference in or out either. (I put a new one in anyhow, no help on the idle.) Yesterday started looking things over, found a red shop rag in my air box under the filter, and found that my motor mounts are toast. Called that shop (not that I'd go back there for anything) and he quoted my 4 hours labor on the 2 mounts, this is a rear WD 2004 Liberty 3.7. Started doing the mounts myself today and expect to have them done tomorrow, total time expected, about 2 1/2 hours max. I'm to old to do some of this stuff, gotta find a different mechanic I guess.
