I just replaced my spark plugs, and noticed that 4 of the rubber seals, and one O rings was missing. I used a O ring from a box of plumbing parts I had, in the meantime. But where can I get new rubber gaskets and O rings to replace the missing ones? I'd rather not pay dealer prices. Does anyone know where to get a set of replacements?

I doubt your plumbing rubbers are going to be oil proof for long. Most any parts store is going to have assortments of universal, oil proof, O-rings.

Tom, some folks gotta save their pennies. Not like when you adding accessories to some rich Yankee's toy.

Since when does a deteriorated seal equate to defective electronics?

The rubber boots keeps out the bigger dirt particles (whatever can sneak past the base of the coil and engine). The o-rings seal to also keep water and moisture from getting to the plugs. Look for Viton o-rings, they are heat and oil resistant. If you shop around on ebay, you can get a pack of 50 for as little as $10, so you get the idea of how inexpensive they are. I wouldn't lose any sleep about not having the boots, just lift the coil a little and blow out the holes before removing it all the way. Ten bux compared to replacing otherwise good working coils to the tune of $40 +/- each for OEM, tough decision isn't it.

OK whatever for me if the seals are gone more than likely the coil is also going to be going soon.
