My 05 liberty has 186000 miles on it and I'm noticing a slight grinding noise at parking lot speeds. I've seen a lot of things online saying that bad cv joints tend to be the cause of ginding noises at slower speeds. I know it's not my brakes because I've replaced those recently, and I've already had to rebuild the cv joints on my front drive shaft. Would it be reasonable to assume that my cv axles are going out and would it be a good idea to replace those?

Hard to say without inspecting them, if the boots are in good condition and the joints haven't been filled with sand and water at some time in their life you might just need to re grease them. Also worth checking the rear prop joints.
