I've got an 02 KJ with 74,000 miles on the original shocks and some 3 month old 235/70R/16 Firestone Destination AT tires. I sort of feel the shocks should be replaced. I don't necessarily want to lift the KJ but am open to ideas. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Depends on what you want. If you have no reason for a lift, I wouldn't lift it. Decreases MPG, more wear and tear on parts, would make your new tires look out of place on the Jeep :) Just get new shocks and springs, etc. If you wheel it a bit and want the extra lift, then you are at the right spot to do some research on what fits your needs.

Just what I needed to hear. I'm going to opt for new shocks / springs. Thanks "eyehatetofu."
