I decided to start planning and gathering parts for an SFA swap. Don't want to lift it and throw the 35's on yet to keep costs lower. But I want to be able to throw on 35's with just a lift and a re-gear.
Anyone out there have a general idea of what I might need?

My drive line is a solid piece from transfer case to front diff so will I be able to get a normal front drive line or will I need a whole new TC? I plan to get an Atlas eventually.

Go to LOSTKJs, there is a whole SFA thread on what is needed , what works and what does not. I suggest you read through all of that and then start asking questions. It will explain a lot of what you need to know to prepare for such an adventure. Right now you will get twenty answers from some who have done it and several who may have an idea of how to do it.
Read the posts from OHV-KJ he had a SFA done and learned the hard way that just going to a shop and saying I want this does not always turn out good. tjkj has all the parts to do his and will be starting it soon, follow his posts as to what he has and has not done, some great reading there

You can do a SFA in steps BUT may as well do it right the first time so that you are not redoing it everytime you want to change up to something, kind of like getting a Daystar lift this week, next month going to OME coils and then the following month buying a Frankenlift why spend the money and hassle when doing it one time and doing it right will be cheaper and better in the long run

Somewhere between being sane and insane!

By the design of the KJ's unibody you will need to do at least 6" of lift to put a SFA under the front.Like others have said just do it right the 1st time and save yourself a buttload of money.I've been buying parts for little over 2 years now for my swap so the $18,000 I've spent doesn't seam so bad, still have another $3000 or so to go.

Oh and the fact that the prototype bellypan will be very pricey we need to get it right the 1st time and that is the delay, can't afford throwing away $800 for another bellypan.

Oh the AtlasII is a very good choice for a replacement t-case,just order one for a direct replacement for the RockTrac in a '03-'06 Rubicon TJ,make sure to get the 32-spline front output upgrade($80),and you will need the universal cable shifters($220 if ordered with t-case,$350+ if bought seperately).
