Self adjusting parking brake lever.....

So..... once you put in new brake shoes and back the adjusters all the way down and the rotors still won't fit. How do you get some slack in the brake cable???

I need about one inch of cable back out of the brake lever housing

1" seems like a lot. If there is no other issue - such as cable rusted in the housing you might get some adjustment.

There is some adjustment inside the console. Someone might have overadjusted it in there at one time.

FWIW - I just did mine at 90,000 - no cable adjustment, but the adjusters themselves and all that crap was a PITA.
