Still Stuck in Park

Transmission still stuck in park.
with the "SHIFT CABLE REMOVED FROM THE TRANSMISSION" the shift lever moves normally.

I believe that the manual valve lever is stuck in position where it protrudes from the transmission. Any ideas on the best way to get it moving.

At a guess WD40 and gentle persuasion to start with moving on to taking bits off if you don't have any luck with that.
